LAYEN TX-RX - Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver

***DISCONTINUED***

INSTRUCTIONS - TROUBLESHOOTING - RETURNS

The LAYEN AudioReach is a Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter which will turn almost any device with a 3.5mm AUX female connection Bluetooth allowing you to send audio wirelessly from your iPod, PC, Laptop, MP3, Tablet or older generation Mobile Phone to your Bluetooth speakers; headphones or Soundbar for example. The AudioReach has a built-in battery that can be used for approx. 12 hours when fully charged.

Instructions

Charge the AudioReach for approx. 2 hours, plug the micro USB connection of the cable into the AudioReach and the USB connection of the cable into the USB port of a PC or USB charger.

The RED light on indicates charging mode. If the RED light is off, charging is complete. It will take approx. 2 hours.

Remove the audio line out from the cable slot on the side of the device (refer to user manual if required). Making sure the AudioStream is already off, hold down the power button for approx. 5 second to turn on and enter pairing mode.

A blue and red LED will flash intermittently. It will search for Bluetooth devices automatically and will send a pairing request. Once successfully paired and connected, the LED will flash blue.

When the AudioReach has been successfully connected to your Bluetooth device you are ready to start playing music or streaming audio.

Troubleshooting

The AudioReach doesn't fit. The device you are using the AudioReach with must have a 3.5mm AUX (audio input) jack for it to connect. The Bluetooth device you are using to receive the audio must support A2DP profile, such as Bluetooth headphones or headset, Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth docking stations or Bluetooth music receivers.

AudioReach won't turn on. Please fully charge the AudioReach.

AudioReach still won't turn on. If charging via PC please ensure that the computer is not in hibernate or sleep mode as this will prevent charging. Please also try a different USB slot in the computer or a USB Plug.

AudioReach won't pair and connect to a Bluetooth device. Pairing mode will last approx. 2 minutes. If the AudioReach cannot connect with a device within this time frame it will return to standby mode automatically. When left in standby mode for longer than 5 minutes, the AudioReach will turn itself off automatically. Make sure that the Bluetooth receiver supports A2DP. Make sure the AudioReach and Bluetooth device are no more than 1m apart from each other. The closer the better when pairing. Make sure the Bluetooth device is in pairing mode

I can't hear music from the Bluetooth device. Make sure that the AudioReach is connected to the Bluetooth device. Make sure that the music / audio is playing and hasn't paused or stopped. Check the volume levels on both devices to make sure they are up. For a TV make sure the sound is not on mute. You may also need to select AUX mode.

Issues connecting / streaming audio. Ensure the AudioReach is on and has been charged. Please turn the AudioReach off and on again and retry the process. Test your non-Bluetooth device on its own to ensure it is functioning ok. Make sure you have pressed the pairing button on your Bluetooth device if there is one, otherwise it will not be found by the AudioReach.

Does the AudioReach work on a different non-Bluetooth device e.g. a TV? iPod, PC? If it does this suggests an issue with the original device you are trying to use it with. To test the AudioReach with a Smartphone, simply disable Bluetooth functionality in the phone's settings. Plug the AudioReach into your devices AUX port. Then pair the AudioReach as you did previously. The AudioReach will now act as the devices Bluetooth.

AudioReach didn't remember one of my devices. The transmitter can remember up to 8 paired devices. When the paired devices exceed this, the first paired device will be replaced by the latest and so on. Each time the AudioReach is turned on, it will automatically connect to the last paired device.

Can't connect to last paired device. When the transmitter is in standby mode and not connected with a Bluetooth device, quickly press and release the MFB button once to connect to the last paired device.

I have been asked for a PIN number. In the case that a PIN is required to pair, please use one of the following: 0000, 1234, 1111 or 8888. In most cases, a PIN will not be required.

The AudioReach won't turn my Dock / Speakers / Stereo Bluetooth. The AudioReach is a transmitter, not a receiver. If you want to stream music from your Bluetooth device (Smartphone/ Tablet / iPod) to a non-Bluetooth dock, speaker or stereo you need a Bluetooth receiver.
