Posted 5 Mar • Music

Ever feel like watching the TV in peace? Or are your family members always complaining about how loud you watch it, especially late at night?

Perhaps you already have Bluetooth headphones and just wish you had upgraded your TV so you could enjoy listening wirelessly?

Well now you can.

And it’s more straightforward than you might think.

For TV’s without Bluetooth already built-in, you just need a Bluetooth Transmitter to send the audio to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to enjoy an enhanced audio experience.
A simple and fast solution that will save you hefty price tag of investing in a brand new television.

You Don’t Need...

    • A complicated set up
    • Any technical expertise
    • Expensive equipment
    • Hours of installation time

What is a Bluetooth Transmitter?

Bluetooth Transmitter is an adapter that enables the device that is playing the audio (such as a Television or non-Bluetooth iPod or smartphone) to send the audio wirelessly to a Bluetooth speaker, dock, soundbar or headphones. It can be used with your TV, PC, MP3 player and even DVD player.

What’s the Difference between a Bluetooth Receiver & Bluetooth Transmitter?

You may have already seen that we sell a number of Bluetooth receivers and might be wondering what the difference is between a receiver and transmitter.

Let us clear that up for you now.

What is a Bluetooth Receiver?

A Bluetooth Receiver does the opposite to a Bluetooth transmitter. It will turn a non-Bluetooth device such as a speaker, docking station, HiFi, headphones, AV receiver or car stereo, Bluetooth - so that it can Receive audio being streamed from a device that is already Bluetooth enabled.

This would be your smartphone, tablet or laptop - the device you are actually playing the audio from. The Bluetooth receiver allows your speaker / headphones to actually receive this audio and play it 🎶

Which Bluetooth Transmitter Do I Need?

The LAYEN TX-RX is the Bluetooth Transmitter that will be perfect for the job. In fact, it will over deliver. It is actually a Bluetooth receiver and transmitter in one, so you can choose to use it in either mode.

In receiver mode it can be used to turn your wired headphones, car stereo or home stereo Bluetooth.

In transmitter mode, this adapter will turn your TV Bluetooth and you can enjoy listening on your iPods [or other favourite headphones] or even through your Bluetooth speakers. It can even transmit audio to two pairs of headphones at once.

If you would like an adapter that can be used with multiple devices - this is it. In receiver mode it can be used to turn your wired headphones, car stereo or home stereo Bluetooth.

In transmitter mode, this adapter will turn your TV Bluetooth and you can enjoy listening on your iPods [or other favourite headphones] or even through your Bluetooth speakers.

And How Does It Work?

It’s a very simple process you will be happy to hear. First of all, make sure the adapter is in transmitter mode (a simple switch on the side indicates whether it’s in transmitter or receiver mode).

Then, simply connect the Bluetooth Transmitter to your TV and hold down the pairing button until the adapter enters pairing mode (blue flashing light comes on).

You need to make sure that the Bluetooth device that you are pairing to (headphones or speaker) is also in pairing mode and is close to the Television during the pairing process. They will then pair and the audio will start playing out of your Bluetooth device.

The entire process will just take a minute or two and anyone can do it :)

Not Just For Your TV

As we’ve already mentioned the The LAYEN TX-RX will not only turn your TV Bluetooth but can be used with various other devices;

  • Turn your non-Bluetooth iPod Bluetooth and play through Bluetooth speakers or headphones (Transmitter mode)
  • Turn your non-Bluetooth dock, stereo or HiFi Bluetooth and stream music wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet or laptop - through any APP
  • Turn your car stereo Bluetooth and stream music from your phone through your speakers
  • Turn your wired headphones Bluetooth and listen to music wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, laptop or your TV

You can even use two of these together to create a wireless set up between two non-Bluetooth devices. For example, you can use the first to Turn your TV Bluetooth (in transmitter mode) and the second to turn your wired headphones Bluetooth (in receiver mode) so that you can enjoy listening to your favourite programme or film in peace.

In Summary ...
We hope that this article has shed some light on how easy it is to turn your TV Bluetooth and stream audio wirelessly to your speaker or headphones. It really is more straightforward than most people might think.
And don't forget, we do offer a 30 day money back guarantee, in the event that you have any issues or simply change your mind.
